Research interests

Maartje is a PhD Candidate in the department of Organization and Personnel Management of Rotterdam School of Management. Her research interests revolve mainly around team dynamics, predominantly focused on the dynamics of hierarchy and informational diversity, and creativity and innovation. Beyond these main interests, she works on projects about work family conflict and ethical behavior.   In her dissertation, Maartje focuses on the way conflicts over hierarchy in teams are settled and how the behaviors associated with these are perceived by others as well as the role of influence within departmental networks on creativity and innovation.   Maartje has presented her work at the annual meetings of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the Academy of Management. Her research is published in the the Academy of Management Review and the Academy of Management Proceedings.
